This Alternative Fortune editorial is for the dreamers, the rebels, and the romantics who don't see themselves in the pages of a traditional wedding magazine. Built on a vision of inclusivity and alternative culture, it highlights moody hues, layered textures, and bold, unexpected details. Every element feels intentional and authentic, crafted for couples who crave a celebration as unique as their love.

Designed by and photographed at Cappella Weddings & Events, this warm and inviting styled shoot was brought together thanks to Skyler & Vhan Photography, Julia Elizabeth Photo & Film, Bloom & Knot, LK Bridal Studio, Sincerely Yours Studios, Hair Dressed by Kristyn, Esthetician Devinne, Resource Vintage Rental, Apothik, Eclectic Sol, and models Jenna & Cailee.

Julia Elizabeth Photo & Film specializes in honoring distinctive artistic styles. She spared no details, finding genuine connections and translating them into a video that is both timeless and intentional. Watch the full video here, then keep scrolling for the photos by Skyler & Vhan Photography.

LK Bridal Studio captured the essence of the Alternative Fortune editorial by working within a natural palette of red, orange, gold, mustard, and lavender. The stationery suite began with a contour-cut invitation and details card, secured with a burgundy, celestial belly band and velvet ribbon. The invitation fit inside a gold envelope with astrology-inspired liner, paired with custom tarot cards and scratch-off fortunes.

Serving as coordinator and designer, as well as a venue and providing rentals, Cappella Weddings & Events took the lead on this editorial masterpiece. Their original architecture dates back to 1886, when the building first served as the First Methodist Episcopal Church of La Crosse. Through many years and recent renovations, the venue has preserved its historic charm, vaulted ceilings, brick walls, and stained glass windows.

The ceremony was set against those very stained glass windows, further framed by wooden floors and paneling, brick walls, and a floral installation by Bloom & Knot. The couple walked down a carpeted aisle, lined by antique chairs, loveseats, and couches from Cappella Weddings & Events and Resource Vintage Rental.

Floral pieces, including wearable florals, a bouquet, and decor, were composed of a warm, bold, and slightly wild aesthetic perfect for a modern wedding. Blooms included bright orange marigolds, red peonies, orange and yellow ranunculus, coral anthurium, black-eyed Susan, billy balls, goldenrod, fern greenery, and more.

Sincerely Yours Studios selected distinct fashions for the brides, starting with a fashionable, white suit for model Jenna. Shirtless blazers are trending, worn either buttoned or unbuttoned. A single button secured Jenna's suit, which also featured an oversized floral lapel on her right side. The overall fit of the suit was casual yet formal, oversized, with wide-leg pants accented by nude, heeled sandals.

For model Cailee, Sincerely Yours Studios selected an artful, strapless ruffled gown with a tiered skirt. The fabric was lightweight with subtle texture, making for a flowery counterpart to Jenna's suit. Electic Sol accessorized both brides with jewelry, including earrings, rings, and necklaces inspired by the elements and the earth.

Hair Dressed by Kristyn focused on natural waves and volume for the brides--and a hint of whimsy. Jenna's hair was curled and styled away from her face, except for her bangs. For a little edge, hair rhinestones were arranged above her ear. Hair dressed by Kristyn accentuated Cailee's natural curls, adding shine and custom extensions, securing her hair back in a half-updo.

The theme continued at the tablescape, with Bloom & Knot crafting floral centerpieces that also included freshly cut fruit. Other decor elements included candles, gold plates, tarot card name cards, silverware, and crystal glassware.

Husband-and-wife photographer team, Skyler & Vhan Photography, are passionate about preserving stories and meaningful moments. They brought that energy to every corner of this editorial shoot, authentically capturing the warmth, beauty, and joy experienced by all involved.

Apothik Catering & Food Truck is a local favorite, and they showcased their delicious offerings at the tablescape and the dessert table. As the in-house caterer at Cappella Weddings & Events, Apothik covers the gamut of catering services, from elegant plated wedding dinners to laid-back events and parties.

At the dessert table, Apothik Catering provided a gorgeous, non-traditional, layered cake with generous frosting between thin layers of chocolate and vanilla. Raspberries and blackberries adorned each tier of the dessert.

Esthetician Devinne stayed within the soft, natural color palette for makeup, selecting warm eyeshadows and soft liners for both brides. Hints of color on the eyes, lips, and cheeks included peachy tones and subdued pinks.
