What's better than a sunny day at the orchard? One with an apple martini in hand! Coordinated by Skies the Limit, this sweet editorial blends soft spring blooms with bold pinks, reds, and greens, including a similar tart, bright green signature drink.
In addition to Skies the Limit Events, this beautiful inspiration came together with the collaboration of local vendors, including Gert & Tog Photography, Media by Leah, Whimsical Design & Decor, Brides N' Belles, Men's Wearhouse, Metropolitan Salon & Spa, Resource Vintage Rental, Orange Door Event Rentals, Crumbtastic Cakery, BBJ La Tavola, and the La Crosse Distilling Co. Media by Leah used her cinematic eye to capture behind-the-scenes moments throughout the day. She used her keen attention to detail to focus on small elements that might otherwise be overlooked, and produced a beautiful highlight film to encapsulate the entire day.
Whimsical Design & Decor created stationery and signage pieces that felt fresh, vibrant, and a little bit luxe. The invitation suite featured a bold palette of rich salmon, medium green, and pale lime green. The minimalist pieces were set against white or colored backgrounds, and the text balanced a playful script font with an elegant serif.
Other pieces for the day utilized a variety of textures and materials like linen, wood, and acrylic. Menus, placed artfully at the reception table, were printed on linen, while acrylic signage was used for table numbers, personalized drink tags, and a vibrant "Orchard Kiss" bar sign.
The Barn on South Ridge is a family-owned wedding and events venue located on a local, beautiful, scenic apple orchard. The ceremony space, tablescape, and lounge areas were set up between rows of apple trees, framed with white floral blooms on either side. At the ceremony, Resource Vintage Rental provided the round metal arbor for a backdrop, which was decorated with florals, both on the arch and on the ground. Rustic white metal farm chairs were also used at the ceremony and tablescape.
In addition to design and coordination, Skies the Limit Events brought their expertise into the floral and decor for this editorial design. The bride carried a lively bouquet composed of red ranunculus, peach roses, white anthurium, white hydrangea, and cascading amaranthus.
At the tablescape, Orange Door Event Rentals provided a variety of pieces, including placemats, pleated glass chargers and glassware, and gold flatware. BBJ La Tavola brought pink dinner napkins and their distinct "Loseta" raspberry table linen. A mossy, floral table runner made for a striking centerpiece, further decorated with bud vases and small table lamps. Resource Vintage Rental also offered their "Livia" banquette bench as a sweetheart seat for the couple.
Gert & Tog Photography brought their signature storytelling style to the Upscale Orchard Picnic editorial, thoughtfully moving through each scene. As the shoot transitioned to include the couple, Gert & Tog seamlessly balanced posed portraits with candid, joy-filled moments, preserving the editorial's vibrant charm and intimate energy.
La Crosse Distilling Co. showcased their vast array of beautifully packaged premium spirits. Bottles were placed on a greenery wall to highlight their mobile cocktail program, The Bar Cart, featuring expertly crafted drinks created with house-made infusions, fresh-squeezed juices, and proprietary recipes.
Metropolitan Salon & Spa styled the bride's hair into loose curls, securing it back into an effortlessly beautiful updo. Small sections were then loosened into face-framing pieces, and a floral accent completed the look. The bride's makeup, also by Metropolitan Salon & Spa, enhanced her natural beauty. The team selected a light foundation that would not erase her (adorable!) freckles, while also bringing out a radiant, roughed glow on her cheeks.
The bride shone in a luxe satin gown from Brides N' Belles. The understated A-line dress exuded elegance with smooth fabric, illusion side cutouts, a square neckline, thin shoulder straps, and a low-cut back. At the ceremony, she was accessorized with a fingertip-length veil with lace along the bottom edges for a hint of texture.
The groom wore a classic black suit from Men's Wearhouse, completed by a crisp white undershirt, a black bowtie, and polished black shoes. His styled, wind-swept hair added a perfect touch of relaxed charm to his classic look.
The lounge area was a cozy, romantic space to sit and enjoy the beautiful, sunny day. Resource Vintage Rental "Bliss" sofa stood out among the orchard trees, and pink throw pillows matched the bride's bouquet.
Bringing a refined finish to the picnic-inspired aesthetic, the dessert display featured a stunning three-tier white cake by Crumbtastic Cakery. Tasteful, minimalist piping met striking floral accents on every tier for a balanced and beautiful presentation.
