Set at Ecker's Apple Farm, Abbey & Eli's wedding showcased classic black-tie style with a modern twist. Emotional details, elegant florals, and dramatic portraits made their celebration an unforgettable mix of timeless romance and contemporary edge.
When it comes to how they met, Abbey and Eli always laugh, knowing there are two vastly different stories. While they attended the same middle school and high school, Abbey and Eli never spoke a single word to one another. They had different classes and ran in different crowds, with their official first meeting happening years later, after Abbey graduated from UW-Milwaukee.
A few weeks after moving back home, Eli approached Abbey in a local bar in downtown La Crosse. At last, their conversation really began. Over the next few years, their relationship blossomed, eventually leading to the couple tying the knot at Ecker's Apple Farm.

Abbey & Eli kept their color palette simple and classic: black and white. For the ceremony, Abbey wore an ethereal, strapless gown from Annika Bridal with a corset bodice and tulle lace overlay. Her bridesmaids wore mismatched black dresses and carried bouquets of white roses and baby's breath, coordinating with Abbey's bouquet and floral arrangements.
On her bouquet, Abbey reflected, "One of my favorite things that stood out for my wedding was dedicating my wedding bouquet to my mom!" She knew her mom did not want to give a speech, but still wanted to ensure she felt honored and appreciated.
Men's Wearhouse supplied the formalwear and suits for Eli and his groomsmen. They wore black suits, black ties, and black shoes, with Eli wearing a black undershirt to set him apart.
Planning a wedding can be stressful at times, and the couple credits Ecker's Apple Farm and their photographer, Savannah Steiger, for helping coordinate timelines, decor, and setup.
Abbey also advises, "As tough as it is to say, I would say plan it like you are just planning a big party! I always got extremely overwhelmed when talking about wedding planning, but the second I just viewed it as planning a big party, that weirdly helped!"
Before and after their scenic outdoor ceremony, the couple found plenty of beautiful spaces to take couple portraits. Savannah Steiger expertly navigated both cloudy and sunny conditions, utilizing her signature editing style to add just the right touch of drama and artistic flair to the final gallery.
Details at the tented reception included plenty of florals, neon signage, rustic chandeliers, teacups, crystal glassware, and candles. The couple also included a memorial table as a special way to include departed friends and family in the celebration.
Guests enjoyed dinner catered by 4 Sisters Events, followed by cake and desserts (hello, donuts!) from Linda's Bakery.
Pamperin Salon & Spa styled hair and makeup looks that transitioned effortlessly from the ceremony to Abbey's second look, a high-neck, mesh, black dress with a crystal overlay. Abbeys wore a half-updo, with volume and soft waves, secured by dainty pearl clips. Her makeup was subtle and smoky, with soft brown eyeshadow, thick lashes, and a dark, natural lip.
After sunset photos, Abbey & Eli partied with their loved ones until last call, getting to enjoy their day to the fullest.
